Sarap na Babalik Balikan: Tropical Hut

By Alex M. Sevilla

Whether you’re a doomscroller or someone who just casually visits the web, I am sure you have heard the comeback of Tropical Hut Hamburger (THH).

The trend actually started when Twitter user @dumidyeypee posted a thread about his Tropical Hut nostalgia. People all over the web reminisced their Tropical Hut usuals and started visiting the nearest branch.

Even I was not spared with the nostalgia and cravings as I saw burgers and clubhouses everywhere. My family would usually dine in the Q-Plaza branch in Cainta on Sundays after grocery runs. I remembered riding the mini carousel in that branch as I wait for our order. With this trend all over social media, I did not miss the chance to enjoy my THH usuals: spaghetti, fries, and burger.

What we ordered during our THH run: Burger Steak, 2pc-Chicken, Fries, Clubhouse Sandwich, Classic Burger, and Mais con Yelo.

You may go to the nearest Tropical Hut branches or visit the one in NLEX Total Mexico.

We all have our own recollections as a child dining in Tropical Hut – it may be for a birthday reception, after grocery lunch out, or even just a casual dining experience with our friends. Though it may not be in our regular dining choice, its familiar vibe and delectable food menu will always have a spot in our hearts.

Their hashtag #SarapNaBabalikBalikan says it all.
