NORTHLINK: Can you highlight any success stories where a focus on fun and enjoyment positively impacted the company’s overall performance?

One sure way of fostering relationships is “eating together”. When you share a meal, it creates strong bonds between people in the organization as there is a reason to communicate and take time to share stories about any topic under the sun.

In my regular sorties and visits to project sites and district offices, I make sure that these visits are capped with sharing a meal with co-workers. To add more enjoyment and fun, we usually eat “boodle fight” style. Because of the informal set-up, a homey atmosphere is created, belongingness is strengthened and a sense of family is established.
