Celebrating All Kinds of Love

February may be called the “Love Month” because of Valentine’s Day, but who’s stopping us from celebrating love each day? Let’s take inspiration from our colleagues on how to make any day a Valentine’s Day.

Jonathan Macamus, Asset Management Division.

Jonathan chose to mark Valentine’s Day with his friends. They simply had fun the whole day. They started with a karaoke session. Next, they enjoyed some retail therapy at The Pop Up along Katipunan Avenue. Finally, they went to Chill Top Cubao. Jonathan enjoyed the stress-free, spontaneous outing with his friends.

Juliard Dio Mejia, Compliance and Business Excellence.

Dio spent the day before Valentine’s Day with his aunt. They went on a “fishball date.” Then he gave her a flower attached to a tiny teddy bear. It was a “date” that simply overflowed with love and cuteness.

Princess Morales, Human Resources and Administration Division.

Cessa already thought that her Valentine’s Day was perfect when she was able to share a simple dinner with her mom, nephews, and nieces. It was the first time in a long time that she celebrated Valentine’s Day with them. But Cessa’s Valentine’s Day got even better when her husband gave her a cute craft box that contained chocolates, a handmade sunflower trinket, and a personalized mug. Though her kids also enjoyed the sweet treats, Cessa felt so loved by her husband.

Kathleen Castro, Technology Management Division.

Just as Kath believes in the saying: “The family that eats together grows and stays together.”, she chose to celebrate the day at home by having a simple dinner with her family. She ordered their food for them to share and enjoy. This just proves that while Valentine’s Day is often associated with romantic love, this is also a great day to express your love and affection to your family.

Patricia Maribel Garcia, Finance Division.

Pam and her partner have been together for nine years. They pulled out all the stops for their Valentine’s Day celebration. They enjoyed a simple lunch at an Italian restaurant, went cocktail tasting, and had their dessert at a newly opened café. They then proceeded to their vacation house in Bulacan where they rode their bikes down the trail and waited for the sunset. They also hung out with their friends. Despite the pandemic, the celebration was perfect. For Pam, that celebration greatly reenergized her for work.
