By: Kim Santiago
The outbreak of COVID 19 disease may be stressful for some people. Fear and anxiety about the disease can be overwhelming and can cause negative emotions such as irritability, restlessness and difficulty to focus. Here are some techniques to help you manage and cope with stress and anxiety attacks:
1. Practice Breathing Exercises
Breathing exercises help you cope with anxiousness and stress of everyday life especially this time of COVID-19.
2. Connect with Others
You can benefit from connection with others where you can provide and receive support from each other. Connect with your family and friends by texting, getting on the phone, video chatting and through social media.
3. Take a Break and Relax
There is life outside of the current crisis. Make some time to unwind by doing things that you enjoy such as meditation, listening to music, eating food you like, and reading good books.
4. Limit Information
Too much information leads to overload and stress so try to limit your exposure to news and information regarding COVID-19.
