A Day in the Whirlwind Life of GGC, Our Office Superman

By Claire Mendoza

In the heart of NLEX Corporation, we have our very own superhero—Sir Glenn, the electronics engineer extraordinaire. Graduating from St. Louis University in Baguio and conquering the ECE Licensure exam in 1991, his journey began like many of ours – with humble beginnings and a leap into the corporate maze.

Working with Sir Glenn, affectionately known as Gwapong Gwapong Campos (GGC), is a remarkable journey into the bustling world of a leader who defies the odds of being both incredibly busy and extraordinarily accommodating. It’s like having our own Superman at the helm, always ready to swoop in and attend to the needs of his personnel. Let me take you through a day in his life – where professionalism meets approachability.

Mondays, the universal challenge for those navigating the corporate world, unfold uniquely for Sir Glenn. Starting the day with warm greetings and a smile for everyone he encounters, he walks to his office, setting a positive tone for the day. A sip of coffee accompanies his meticulous review of documents awaiting his signature… signaling the beginning of a day filled with meetings. Among these meetings is the Multi-Lane Free Flow Project, where his expertise in technology management takes center stage. With 22 years of experience at the company, Sir Glenn has consistently excelled in leading various technology projects and enhancements.

Before the day concludes, there’s an unexpected twist in Sir Glenn’s routine – basketball. It is not just a game – it is his One Life Monday routine, a practice that embodies the epitome of work-life balance. This personal touch highlights the importance he places on a holistic approach to life, even amid the demands of a high-profile position.

Sir Glenn’s popularity extends beyond his title, evident in the constant flow of people in and out of his office. Approvals, advice-seeking, or casual conversations – his door is always open. Working with him is not just about tasks, it is a light experience, characterized by a superior who embodies the traits of a real millennial/gen Z leader. His ability to relate to different ages and willingness to go above and beyond for his people make him more than just a leader – he is a mentor and a friend.

Working alongside Sir Glenn is an enriching experience, a blend of professionalism and genuine connection. He not only leads with expertise but also demonstrates the importance of a balanced life. Our Superman at NLEX is more than just a leader, he is an inspiration to us all.
