The start of a new year is the perfect time for us to reevaluate our lives and figure out what we need to enhance. As the pandemic continues, we focus on the health and wellness trends for 2022.

Trying out new ways to get fit and develop a better relationship with the food you eat is a good start. If you want to shed some pounds, it is better to focus on small things. Start by engaging yourself more on the physical activities you love, whether it’s hitting the mat for yoga or taking a revitalizing walk.

Include vegetables in your daily meal. Vegetables are packed with nutrients and antioxidants to boost your immune system. Experts have recommended a daily consumption of two cups of vegetables. If you find it hard to consume that much or not sure how to prepare it, look for better ways to incorporate vegetables to your meals. For instance, you can make vegetable smoothies or cook an all-veggie lasagna.

When it comes to staying hydrated, water is the key. Drink at least two liters of water daily. Avoid sugary beverages and limit alcohol intake. Alcohol dehydrates the body and excessive intake can cause liver damage. Alcohol also decreases the absorption of B vitamins, so be sure to take vitamin B supplements the morning after a night of drinking.

To improve your overall mood, avoid eating too much sugary food. Sugar is known to be addictive, so you have to be very disciplined about consuming it. The next time you feel anxious and think about grabbing a pint of ice cream to feel good, go for guilt-free mood boosters instead. You can get a fruit smoothie or a bowl of your favorite mixed fruits.

In terms of work set up, 2022 may be more volatile than the previous year. At the start of 2021, flexible work arrangements were implemented. Then, with the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, people calmed down a bit. But as 2022 approached, the threat of new variants emerged. Flexible work arrangements are still in place, but the corporate world now has stricter rules for unvaccinated people. Some businesses mandate its employees to get vaccinated or have regular testing done to ensure a safe work environment for everyone.

When it comes to 2022 fashion, you might want to look at your wardrobe for the trends this year. Low-rise jeans are cool again. Mini-skirts and cutout tops are coming back too. A joyous mood is expected to take over fashion this year, so vivid and bright colors are definitely in. Meanwhile, chunky rings, layers of beads, hoop earrings, and pearl jewelry are still on trend.
