“Bayanihan” or “being a bayan” is the Filipino spirit of collective unity and teamwork shown in different forms. Although it is often illustrated through volunteers helping a family transfer of the traditional house to its new location, during the COVID-19 pandemic, bayanihan has evolved into new variants like ayuda, community pantries, and vaccination programs in public and private sectors.  

We at Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), being true to our shared value of compassion and social responsibility, have been proactive in not just protecting our own, but also our community. Transitioning from C-19 vaccination to booster, the MPTC group started its booster inoculation on December 18, 2021, at its vaccination sites such as Maynilad, Meralco, NLEX Sta. Rita, and PLDT for employees and their adult household members.

We have also partnered with Caloocan LGU in strengthening our vaccinees’ immune defenses by continuing to 2^nd booster jab on May 24, 2022 at Integrity Onelife Gym. 

Since the booster shot drive took off, a total of 1,552 employees from NLEX Corporation have gotten their booster shots. We are now 99% 1^st booster vaccinated and 47% 2^nd booster vaccinated as of November 24, 2022. 

The success of our vaccination program is only made possible with the support of our employee volunteers from MVP group, medical teams/health care workers from our partner hospitals (i.e., De Los Santos Medical Center, Dr. Jesus Delgado Memorial Hospital, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Sacred Heart Hospital of Malolos, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital) and Caloocan LGU, and of course the willing vaccinees themselves.
