Upon securing the TRB’ approval of the Project, and the NLEX Board’s nod to implement the Project, NLEX has commenced the bidding process for NLEX Segment 8.2 Section 1A (the “Project”).
The Project is the first 2-kilometer section of the 11.3-kilometer NLEX-C5 (Segment 8.2) North Link Project. The Project has a 1.28 km mainline with 6 lanes (2×3) and wide shoulder, and will serve as the east-west 24/7 Truck Route decongesting North EDSA, Quirino, Mindanao, Congressional, Luzon and Commonwealth Avenues.
The Project is comprised of viaduct structure crossing Mindanao Ave. and Tullahan River, with ramps constructed for Quirino Hi-way and Mindanao Ave., and is a preparation for NLEX’s full Segment 8.2 implementation.
Participating tenderers were prequalified, and were invited to a Pre-Bid Conference on July 18, 2024. Following this, a joint site inspection with the tenderers and the Project designer was conducted on August 1, 2024 to ensure that the bidders are fully aware of prevailing site conditions.

Our Supply Chain Management spearheads the preparations for the events, including the consolidation of issued tender documents, in partnership with the NLEX Tollway Development and Engineering who will be managing the Project.
