Just before the first month of the year ends, NLEX Corp. awarded the design and build contract for the Candaba 3rd Viaduct Project to Leighton Contractors (Asia) Limited (LCAL) with a contract date of February 1, 2023.
The 23-month implementation timeline includes the delivery of the Detailed Engineering Design and the construction completion of the 5.3 kilometer viaduct which shall be situated in between the existing northbound and southbound viaducts.
The project aims to provide a safer driving environment to NLEX motorists and enhance current traffic experience by allowing 80kph speed limit from the current 60kph.
The Candaba 3rd Viaduct is targeted to be operational in 2025.
