Last May 28, the 2024 NLEXemplary Awards was held in the elegant ambiance of Cinema 3 at Ayala Vertis, honoring individuals and teams whose outstanding contributions have significantly impacted our organization and the communities we serve. The event was a testament to our commitment to our corporate values.
The awards ceremony showcased remarkable talents and achievements across various categories, reflecting our organization’s diverse spectrum of excellence. Let’s take a closer look at some of the distinguished awardees and their remarkable accomplishments:
NLEXemplary Team: Bid Evaluation Team (Agility, Responsiveness & Excellence)
The Bid Evaluation Team (BET) demonstrated exemplary agility, responsiveness, and excellence in evaluating tasks promptly and effectively. Through their collective expertise, the team ensured the validity of documents, reviewed financials, assessed technical offers, and evaluated received bids for potential clarification and negotiation. Their comprehensive assessments aided decision-making and adhered to project timelines, contributing significantly to project success.

NLEXemplary Employee: Leonides “DP” dela Pena (Excellence)
Leonides, also known as DP, was recognized for his exceptional performance in customer relations. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to addressing customer concerns have consistently resulted in zero complaints. Notably, DP’s remarkable consistency was highlighted by his achievement of monthly targets, with 887 interventions and 173 apprehensions from November 2023 to March 2024. His outstanding contributions earned him prestigious awards, including the Traffic Operation Rewards and Recognition.

NLEXemplary Employee: Mary Joyce Salvador & Elvin Bryan Sanchez (Agility & Responsiveness)
Mary Joyce Salvador and Elvin Bryan Sanchez, in their role as LTO Liaison, exemplified agility and responsiveness in facilitating seamless interactions between NLEX and the Land Transportation Office (LTO). Their dedication to addressing customer needs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements showcased their commitment to excellence. Despite manpower shortages, they have promptly adapted to changes, stepping up to fill gaps and ensure operational continuity.

NLEXemplary Employee: Thomas Dominique Geronimo (Corporate Sustainability & Agility)
Thomas Dominique Geronimo’s initiative in repurposing old tires from the NLEX Fleet for the construction of a playground at Dulong Malabon Integrated School exemplifies corporate sustainability and agility. This innovative project aligns with NLEX Corporation’s sustainability goals and benefits the community by providing a vibrant space for student recreation and interaction.

Brylle Martinez’s sustained excellence in his role has been consistently recognized through departmental rewards and recognition. His innovative approach to monitoring SCTEX events has led to identifying locations prone to incidents, enabling intensified patrol visibility and expedited assistance to motorists. Brylle’s dedication and efficiency have significantly improved road safety and operational effectiveness.

Mervin Capalad’s outstanding contributions to the SOO team, particularly in apprehending RFID violators and collections, underscore his commitment to excellence. Michael Angelo Mercado and Daryl Tubaon played pivotal roles in successfully completing the NLEX-SCTEX Community Farm project.
