Last December 26, 2017, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) recognized several deputized personnel from partner groups, including those assigned in NLEX and SCTEX, and awarded them with Certificates of Excellence for making the most number of motorist apprehensions in the expressway.
The awarding ceremony was held during the LTO Teambuilding Activity and Year-End Assessment held at BF Homes Clubhouse, Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City, and was graced by Director Francis Ray A. Almora of the LTO Law Enforcement Service. The event was also attended by Francis Gerard E. Aberilla, then Vice President for Traffic Operations, Catherine P. Del Mundo, TMS Manager, and Ronaldo M. Santos, LTO Liaison Officer.
The number of apprehensions were counted from the Temporary Operator’s Permit (TOP) issued to drivers who violated Republic Act No. 4136 or the “Land Transportation and Traffic Code” (including Republic Act No. 8750 or the “Seatbelt Law”), and Republic Act No. 8794, also known as “Anti-Overloading Law”. Motorist violations were observed during the daily operations of patrolling, lane utilization management, speed team operations, traffic management at the interchanges, and anti-overloading vehicle program (AOVP) operations at mobile and stationary posts.
The last time LTO issued such recognition was in 2005. However, this year’s ceremony was more momentous as LTO had its first female awardee from NLEX, Kathleen Sabado.
NLEX Corporation congratulates the following Patrol Officers. Keep up the good work, and may others be inspired by your performance in making more educated and disciplined drivers in the expressway!
