Memorable May 2024 Round Table: Open Communication with JLLB and ManCom Leaders

By Mark Johnson C. Gil

Since the launch of the new Round Table series in 2024, both JLLB and ManCom members have shown unwavering commitment by attending each scheduled session whenever possible. On May 23, 2024, selected participants from Asset Management Division, primarily engineers and architects, joined the Round Table session with JLLB and ManCom held at Christine’s Filipino Cuisine. The session featured several prominent ManCom members including Mr. Glenn Campos, the head of the Technology Division, Mr. Nemy Castillo, the head of Tollway Development and Engineering Division, Ms. Joy Orig, the head of Legal Services, Ms. Sigrid Shun, HRBP Lead, and NLEX President and General Manager, Mr. J Luigi Bautista.

The event began with a unique and personal touch. Participants shared traits they had inherited from their mothers and discussed how they manage stress. This icebreaker not only fostered a warm and engaging atmosphere but also elicited applause and laughter as each participant introduced themselves. ManCom members and JLLB also participated, sharing their own stories within the introductory format.

Participants were allowed to send their questions via Slido, a platform that facilitated open communication. This allowed attendees to address their concerns directly to the specific ManCom members present. This interactive segment ensured that the session was both engaging and informative.

Before concluding the program, JLLB shared some updates about the company. This segment provided valuable insights into the company’s direction and future plans, reinforcing the connection between the leadership and the employees. The session wrapped up with a delightful meal, allowing participants to enjoy a sumptuous spread and continue their discussions in a more relaxed setting.

The Round Table session on May 23, 2024, was a remarkable event that fostered open communication, personal connection, and engagement between the participants and the company’s leadership. This session exemplified the commitment of JLLB and ManCom to maintaining transparency and fostering a strong company culture through regular, meaningful interactions with employees.
