In the latter part of July, Manila and other areas in Luzon were heavily affected by continuous rains, resulting in widespread flooding. Several of the impacted communities are valued partners of NLEX, and in response to the unfortunate circumstances, the organization extended much-needed relief assistance.
NLEX provided aid to the following local government units (LGUs) and government stakeholders:
- Valenzuela
- Quezon City
- Manila
- Caloocan
- Navotas
- Meycauayan
- Guiguinto
- Marilao
- Pampanga 4th District through Congressman Anna York
- Bulacan 1st District through Congressman Danny Domingo

A total of 520 sacks of rice were distributed to these LGUs and government partners. In addition, in Valenzuela, FINEX donated 250 boxes of noodles and 160 boxes of sardines.
The turnover ceremonies were attended by the respective Mayors and District Representatives. NLEX Officer-in-Charge Luis Renon was present during the handover of relief goods in Quezon City with Mayor Joy Belmonte, as well as in Valenzuela with Mayor Wes Gatchalian.
NLEX remains committed to supporting its partner communities, especially in times of crisis. Through continued collaboration with local leaders and stakeholders, we aim to build stronger, more resilient communities across the nation.
