NLEX Family Fun Run: More Than 200 Joined

PAMPANGA, Philippines — Around 200 runners joined the NLEX Family Fun Run on the 8th of October 2022 at the Lakeshore, two years since the onset of the pandemic.  

Employees, together with their families and friends, took part in the marathon’s different categories: 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer run for adults, and 1-kilometer run for kids.  

In the 10-km race, Ricardo Rontal from Traffic Operations was the fastest to cross the finish line, clocking at 45 minutes and 41.67 seconds, while Roel Guillermo trailed him at second place at 52:48.10. Gilbert Obor rounded off the top three finishers at 1:13:32.  

In the 10-km female category, Aina Canlas from Technology Management topped the women’s category at 1 hour, 28 minutes and 29 seconds, while Julie Ann Bautista came in second at 1:39:39. Pamela Obedoza is at third place with the time of 1:42:55.  

On the other hand, the 5-km category men’s division top three finishers were Patrick Policarpio (21:03.86), Rafael Roque Jr. (26:57.45), and Antonio Reyes (29:31.48). 5-km female category winners were Micha Ella De Guzman (31:49.55), Joy De Guia (33:55.79), and Katherine Rose Ignacio (35:40.85).  

The 1-K category male kids’ division top five winners were Roffel Condada (6:47.11), Jacob Condada (7:48.49), Marcus Damien Calayag (8:05.05), Kurt Russel Castro (8:15.45), and Caleb Bautista (8:25.01) while the 1-K female kid winners were Daphne Rontal (6:58.6), Bianca Elise Guillermo (8:12.15), Denzelle Jaira Ibardolaza (8:40), Josh Lorraine Nogal (8:45.48), and Maria Sophia Therese Lopez (09:01.01).  

Aside from the footrace, the kids also donned their best costumes. Top 5 were selected and won prizes. 

All the winners received GCs and tokens from the organizers.
