Empowerment is the heart of great leadership. True leadership is not just about giving instructions or making decisions—it’s also about inspiring and enabling others to reach their full potential. In this quarter’s LEAD Talks, Atty. Joy Orig, Vice President of Legal Services Division is our LEAD Speaker and the best example of a leader who embodies our topic, LEADS: Lead Through Empowerment.

The LEAD Talks leadership development program was held last March 28, 2025 at FYM Restaurant, Valenzuela City attended by 28 young leaders.

Atty. Joy started the session by asking our participants to write down the top 3 people they value or love. With this activity, she emphasized that you should remember to put our own name on the people that you value. Leadership begins with understanding and valuing oneself. You should love yourself because you are the source of love for others, for the company, and for your team.
Atty. Joy detailed that great things are brought about by small things you do and by small things you do together with other people. Vincent Van Gogh once said, “Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.” Leaders should have an openness to understand their team so they can work better together.
Here’s the summary of Atty Joy’s personal journey to empowerment:
