“We have to get back on top”

Let me greet you and your family a Happy New Year!

We have a lot to be thankful for in 2021. Our revenue and traffic numbers continued to suffer but in the last quarter, we managed to come close to our revised targets. While the original targets have not been met, and our business plans were stymied by delays, we survived and managed to keep afloat.

The continuing journey of NLEX will not be without challenges for sure. For 2022, we will do a lot more of the same, but with much vigor and grit, as there is no other way but to get back on top. I hasten to add that only by working together in solidarity will we be able to advance towards our varied NLEX goals.

Sa bagong taon na hinaharap, marami tayong mga plano sa larangan ng financial targets, toll rate adjustments, operational efficiency and business process excellence, project implementation, preservation of assets, stakeholder management, corporate governance and sustainability initiatives, among others.

Kabilang na rin ang mga planong business transformation at diversification na naumpisahan last year. Halimbawa na lang ang Customer Experience projects tulad ng One Hub at Drive Hub, ang mga Digital Foundation projects tulad ng HCMS, Enterprise Resource Planning o ERP/Oracle at Data Lake, mga Toll system projects tulad ng Barrierless, Open Road Tolling at Electronic Vehicle Strategy, at maidagdag ko na rin ang mga People and Culture projects tulad ng Organization Design and Culture Change.

Hindi tayo titigil hangga’t hindi natin natatamo ang pangarap natin sa Metro Pacific Tollways group — ang manguna sa tollroad and mobility infrastructure business.

Sa lahat ng mga ito, aasahan ko ang inyong tulong. Makakaasa din kayo na sa lahat ng ating mga plano, ang kapakanan pa rin ng mga empleyado ang isasaalang-alang, una sa lahat.
