TNX: How does gratitude affect our well-being?

Words of gratitude are the sweetest things in this world. It can resolve a conflict and ease the pain. In contrast, ingratitude may lead to discord and sulk. This is how powerful a “Thank you” is: it may begin and stop a catastrophic war if not used accordingly.

Dakal a Salamat improves our mental health. It can reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety. We tend to have higher levels of positive emotion when we feel grateful.  

Agyamanak builds a better relationship. It promotes a positive atmosphere in relationships. When we express our appreciation for each other, it improves our ties and promotes a sense of closeness and trust.

Balbaleg ya Salamat increases resilience. We tend to cope better with stress and adversity when we are appreciated. We are more likely to find positive significance in challenging situations and return from remorse. 

Dios mabalos enhances our self-esteem. It enables us to focus on our strengths and accomplishments, leading to higher self-esteem. Recognizing and appreciating one’s own and others’ contributions can enhance feelings of self-worth. 

Daghang salamat is a great source of happiness. It is highly correlated with feelings of happiness and life satisfaction. When we prioritize what we are grateful for, we tend to have a more positive outlook. 

Daghan jamong salamat improves physical health. The good feeling of receiving gratitude make us engage more often in healthier behaviors such as regular exercise, improved nutrition, and seeking medical assistance when needed. These actions contribute to overall physical well-being. 

Gratitude is a universal language, saying “Salamat” makes the mood lighter. It is nice being appreciated and to appreciate others too. In general, cultivating it can have profound effects on various aspects of our well-being, resulting in a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.
