On November 28, 2024, at Cinema Ayala Vertis, the NLEX community came together to celebrate the outstanding contributions of its employees through the NLEXemplary Awards. These accolades honor individuals and teams who have gone above and beyond in demonstrating innovation, sustainability, agility, and excellence.

NLEXemplary Team

1. NLEX EMA Team – Facility Control Monitoring System (FCMS) Project

The NLEX EMA Team achieved a significant milestone by completing the FCMS project, encompassing planning, procurement, assembly, installation, and testing phases. Despite delays in component deliveries, their collaboration ensured timely project completion.

The FCMS implementation has yielded substantial cost savings and enhanced energy efficiency, reinforcing NLEX’s sustainability objectives. This achievement underscores the team’s capability to manage complex projects while aligning with organizational goals.

2. Rainwater Collection System Team – Expanding Sustainability Efforts

With remarkable efficiency, this team installed 16 new rainwater collection systems, adding to the 7 previously set up at NLEX and SCTEX. Overcoming a tight two-month timeline from May to June 2024, they balanced regular duties while ensuring the project’s success.

Collectively, these systems will harvest 150,000 liters annually, saving P60,000 and advancing NLEX’s commitment to sustainability.

3. NLEX Paralegal Team – Ensuring Success of the Connector Project

This team played a pivotal role in the NLEX-SLEX Connector Project, ensuring critical milestones were met for the TRB Toll Operation Permit and Notice to Start Collection. By navigating cross-departmental coordination and regulatory requirements, they secured permits by July 2024, enabling toll collection to commence in October.

Their dedication exemplifies strategic agility and responsiveness in achieving business objectives.

4. IMS-RTS Auditors – Securing ISO Re-Certification

The Internal IMS Audit Team conducted two full audit cycles to achieve re-certification for four ISO standards. Their efforts in identifying improvements and implementing corrective actions ensured compliance across Quality, Environment, Occupational Safety, and Road Traffic Safety standards.

Their work reinforces NLEX’s commitment to operational excellence and proactive management.

5. DC EV Fast Charger Project Team – Driving Sustainable Transportation

With the rising demand for electric vehicles, this team established a network of DC fast chargers, completing stations at Balintawak and ODB Sta. Rita. Their feasibility assessments ensured optimal locations for these chargers, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and advancing sustainable transportation.

Alyssa Nugoy

Alyssa took on dual roles, processing 6,989 Notices of Violation worth PHP 389,357 while maintaining operational continuity. Her dedication earned her several awards, including the 2024 Applauz Most Appreciated Employee of the Year.

CJ Chua

A top performer in Toll Operations for seven years, CJ’s commitment and excellence have made her a key player in IMS-RTS recertification and a role model in her cluster.

Kathleen Jill Ronquillo

Kathleen spearheaded the PUNLA program, driving a PHP 260,723 profit increase and 870 new memberships for community enterprises, cementing it as a cornerstone CSR initiative.

Jonathan Pascual

Jonathan’s impeccable performance earned him the SCTEX Best SOO award and 70 commendations for exceptional patrol work, reflecting his reliability and excellence.

Jhan Carl Arcilla

PC Arcilla’s quick response and calm professionalism in high-pressure situations have garnered 129 commendations and set a benchmark for service excellence.

Ma. Christian Natividad

The 2024 Best TCR Specialist, Cris consistently delivers outstanding results, exemplifying NLEX’s values through her exceptional performance.

Ronan Jae Angeles

With 115 commendations and over 1,375 intervention points, Ronan’s adaptability and commitment have made him a standout in incident management.

Julius Villegas

Julius’s vigilance led to the recovery of a stolen motorcycle, earning recognition from law enforcement and highlighting his commitment to security and teamwork.
